Delaware County Legal Separation
Pennsylvania separation laws
Pennsylvania does not recognize “separated” as a legal status and holds that spouses living separately are still married. Courts do not intervene to determine the spouses’ rights and responsibilities while they live separately. Still, clients often wish to live separately in order to claim a marriage is irretrievably broken or maintain their spousal rights prior to divorce.
Sullivan, Cherner, Broadt & Farrell, P.C., advises clients as to the pros and cons of separation and helps them protect their rights with quality separation agreements. We invite clients to call our office and learn about marital breakdown after a separation in Delaware County.

A court would decide matters of child custody and other marital issues in a legal separation. Sullivan, Cherner, Broadt & Farrell, P.C., constructs agreements that address these matters without court intervention.
